B & B-Day Care Center History Continued……..which stood for “Boggs and Blackburn”, Boggs from the boarding high school, and Blackburn from the Presbyterian Church that housed the Day Care Center where my mother was the director.
Refrigerator – Stove – Table> FLOOR EASEL After attending a workshop in Charleston, SC my mother saw additional needs for the center. She felt the children did not have an opportunity to play with toys and equipment designed to encourage their development. My mother took cardboard boxes, plywood, hammer, and nails to make play furniture: stove sink, refrigerator, table, Her curriculum included exposing/teaching 2yr olds about art mediums!!!!!
Your mother sounds like a great woman. Those children were blessed to have such wonder in their early lives. Thank you for sharing.
The reward was ALL hers! She loved every moment of it!!!❤️🙏🏼❤️
