I always feel my Mother is true with us in spirit! I know she is especially watching over ALL the new additions since her transition. There have been five (5) babies born since she left this earthly home. The funny thing is how all of them look and some even act like her in different ways. Certain actions from sleeping in a certain position and/or rubbing their hands as she would do, but definitely the facial features cannot be mistaken.

We often talk about how she would have been over the moon to see them! Just yesterday I posted a picture on Facebook of her riding one on the front of her wheelchair, (which she often did before she could not ride them anymore). I presented the picture to one who is five(5) and her three(3) year old little sister. The younger one immediately yelled, “THAT’S GREAT-MA!“. Boy did I have to fight back the tears but yet I was filled with joy knowing that they still knew who she was.

Her Mother/My Grandmother(Louise), died before I was even thought about. Unfortunately, she passed at the young age of 48, and my sister S. Louise, who was only three (3) months old and is (5 1/2-6 yrs (Jeffery’s would argue that) older than I. She was diagnosed with breast cancer which was discovered too late. I only knew her through stories from my Mother and other family members. However, I was constantly reminded of how much I looked like her which was bittersweet for me.

My Mother was blessed to see 15+ grands, 15+ great grands and 1 great great grand before she passed. We believe to this day they kept her fighting to live each time she became ill.

Although the cake is showing it was suppose to be a boy and a girl, we were blessed with a girl and girl! 🙂 Ironically, the first letter in both of their names is spelled with a “J” and yes, their Great Great G-Ma’s name begins with a “J”.

In November, we were blessed with two beautiful baby girls. Great Great grands of my Mother and we know she would be tickled pink and not just because they were girls but because she literally helped raise, their mother! I recalled the times when she waited for the school bus with now their Mom, preparing after-school meals, doing homework and yes disciplining when needed.

So, although November was the month we would have been celebrating my Mom’s birthday, GOD blessed us with two new J’s birth-days!
